McDONOUGH — Officials rescued a man from an early morning house fire Thursday before he died later that day in the hospital.
The Henry County Fire Department and the City of McDonough Fire Department responded to the single-story home around 7 a.m. on Ward Street where a fire reportedly started in a bedroom.
