McDONOUGH — McDonough City Hall is closing to the public due to an outbreak of COVID-19 among city hall employees.

The order was issue Thursday by City Administrator Preston Dorsey.

As a result, the Jan. 19 city council meeting has also been cancelled.

Some employees, according to a release from city officials, will work from home until Jan. 25. Upon reopening, the building will only be partially staffed to allow for business transactions via drive through from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Items listed on the Jan. 19 meeting agenda will be heard “as soon as possible at a subsequent meeting.”
