McDONOUGH — The city of McDonough and the Downtown Development Authority are working together to provide loans to the city’s businesses.

A resolution approved by the City Council Monday morning approves the transfer of $150,000 from McDonough’s general fund to the Downtown Development Authority. The DDA is then authorized to give loans, through a local bank, of up to $3,000 to businesses who employ at least one full-time employee or contractor.
