McDonough officials oppose closing of local Georgia Power office

McDONOUGH — The local Georgia Power branch in McDonough will be closing soon and the McDonough City Council is not too happy about it.

The city council approved a resolution Thursday opposing the closure of the Georgia Power office at 235 Keys Ferry St. The company announced in July that it plans to close over 100 offices statewide.
