McDONOUGH — The Southern Crescent special needs community received a different kind of support Saturday as men walked in heels throughout downtown McDonough. They were helping to raise about $10,000 for a special needs park and school.
Our World at HOPE Park is a partnership between nonprofits Our World and HOPE (Helping Other People Excel) Park designed to raise funds for a special needs park and school. The pairing hosted “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” for men to get a feel of just some of the challenges women with special needs children may endure.
