The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 9:30 p.m. Saturday for the following areas:
• Central Rockdale County
• Southern Henry County
• Central Newton County
• Spalding County in west central Georgia
At 3:28 p.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain continuing to fall across the warned area. Two to 4 inches of rain have already fallen with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Griffin, McDonough, Conyers, Covington, Hampton, Locust Grove, Porterdale, Orchard Hill, Sunny Side, East Griffin, Lakeview Estates, Blacksville, Ola, Walker Mill, Rover, Luella, Oak Hill, Highland Mills, Towalaga and Magnet.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
