A facility which was originally scheduled to only be used by the public safety personnel of Henry County and surrounding counties, soon will be open to the general public.

The Henry County Police Department and the Sheriffs Office have announced the opening of the new Public Safety Firing Range for public use, beginning in May. The facility, located on 168 acres at 2650 Stroud Road, opened in late February as a training venue for law enforcement personnel and firefighters.
