MCDONOUGH — Paul Burgdorf may be done coaching football, but the former Union Grove coach isn’t anywhere near finished caring for the sport or his alumni.

Burgdorf traveled to South Carolina Oct. 24 to watch Wofford College take on University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Although part of the trip was spent enjoying watching football from an outsider’s perspective, the majority of it was spent watching Derrick Craine, a UTC running back who’s racked up 679 yards on 120 carries for his Southern Conference team, and Wofford defensive lineman Tyler Vaughn play against each other in a Conference match-up.
