HAMPTON The holidays are usually a time when many people like to indulge in pastries, cakes, candies, and good ol family dinners. Some may even think to themselves, Ill just whip out the elastic waistband pants, eat till my heart is content, and for my New Years resolution Ill start my diet.

However, professional chef Vickie Tolson, of Hampton, said thats the wrong mentality to have. Tolson suggestion is for people to be mindful when it comes to their health and fitness, during the holidays.
