STOCKBRIDGE — The city of Stockbridge will hold its Free Summer Movie event on Saturday, July 13, on the lawn of Stockbridge City Hall at 8 p.m.

The event was originally scheduled for this Saturday night, but due to the impending threat of severe weather, the event was postponed to July 13.

The event, hosted by the Stockbridge Main Street Program, will feature the 2018 movie “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” which will start at dark. Other activities will start at 8 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating. There will be a costume contest for all ages. All attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes.

“The Stockbridge Main Street Program is excited to host its movie event once again,” said Main Street Program Manager Kira Harris-Braggs in a press release. “It is our mission to encourage cultural enrichment and nurture a community spirit here in Stockbridge. So, when we invite folks to come downtown and enjoy a free movie, we hope to provide a fun, family-friendly environment for our citizens to connect with each other.”

According to the city, the community event will feature free games. Attendees are welcomed to bring their own snacks.

The event is free and open to the public, but all children must be accompanied by supervising adults.
