STOCKBRIDGE – The city of Stockbridge is giving away COVID-19 care packages on Saturday.
The care packages will be given away at the Merle Manders Conference Center, located at 111 Davis Road in Stockbridge, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Masks and sanitizer will be given out while supplies last.
The care packages will be available to all community members on Saturday morning.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendees are encouraged to remain in their vehicles as a precaution. City officials will approach vehicles to distribute the care packages near the front entrance of the Merle Manders Conference Center near the main ballroom.
“The City is grateful to be able to help the community by distributing these COVID-19 care packages,” said Stockbridge City Manager Randy Knighton in a release. “Based off of the CDC guidelines, we are encouraging the use of masks in public and social distancing. We are in this as one community. We shall see everyone on Saturday.”
The event will occur rain or shine.
Social distancing is being encouraged throughout the United States at this time. For pertinent health updates, everyone is encouraged to visit the website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
