STOCKBRIDGE – The Stockbridge Main Street Program will host its free Summer Movie event on Saturday, July 13 on the lawn of Stockbridge City Hall, located at 4640 North Henry Blvd. in Stockbridge.

The event is rescheduled, originally planned for June 8, but was moved to July 13 due to inclement weather.

On Saturday, the Main Street Program will show the movie “Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse,” which will start at dark, while free activities will start at 8 p.m.

In addition, there will be a free costume contest for all ages on Saturday. All attendees, regardless of age, are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes. Light refreshments will be served.

“The Stockbridge Main Street Program is excited to host its movie event once again,” said Main Street Program Manager Kira Harris-Braggs in a release. “It is our mission to encourage cultural enrichment and nurture a community spirit here in Stockbridge. When we invite folks to come downtown and enjoy a free movie, we hope to provide a fun, family-friendly environment for our citizens to connect with each other.”

The event will feature free games. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating. Those attending the Saturday event are welcomed to bring their own snacks to the event. All children are required to be accompanied by supervising adults.
