Stockbridge Holiday Festival, a community link

Attendees at the Stockbridge Holiday Festival were welcomed to the occasion by a large Christmas tree in front of the Merle Manders Conference Center. An estimated 5,000 people took part in the event.

Cecilia Green beamed with an infectious smile at an annual Christmas festival in downtown Stockbridge. A five-year resident of the city, she has not skipped the holiday event since moving to the area.

It puts me in a festive mood, said Green, 52. There are a lot of good things happening with this. Its got children written all over it, and its a motivation to get these kids ready for the season. It also brings the community together.
