Guns seized in search

The Stockbridge Police Department seized 18 guns from a residence on Carrera Road.

STOCKBRIDGE — The Stockbridge Police Department arrested two suspects and discovered thousands of dollars in cash, multiple firearms, and a variety of drugs at a residence on Carrera Road. The arrests took place on Aug. 15 while officers were conducting a search related to stolen cars.

The SPD had been issued a search warrant for the residence and the three vehicles that were confirmed to be at that location. The cars allegedly had altered VIN numbers and other discrepancies in their registration, which led Officer Tyler Hoffman to believe that they were stolen.
