McDonough, GA Jack Elliott Teate, age 85 of Mcdonough, died Saturday, September 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Azalee Teate. He is survived by wife, Shirley Harriett Teate; sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Pam Teate, Kevin and Susie Teate; grandchildren, Mallory Teate, Alex Teate and his wife Brittany, Kalli Teate, Griffith Teate; great-grandchildren, Maddie Teate, Wesley Teate; brother and sister-in-law, John and Ann Teate, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was married to the love of his life for 65 wonderful years, He was a member of McDonough Christian Church and served proudly in our United States Air Force. Jack loved his family, especially his grandchildren; he loved playing golf, his favorite team, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and he enjoyed putting puzzles together. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at McDonough Christian Church with Scott Gregory officiating; interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so, may make a donation to Sacred Journey Hospice, McDonough location. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
