ATLANTA — Bowing to the realities of the coronavirus pandemic, the Georgia Republican Party has canceled both its state convention and a series of congressional district meetings across the state.
State Senator Rick Jeffares on Friday announced his resignation from the Senate District 17 seat in order to focus all of his attention on his campaign for lt. governor.
Georgia Sen. Rick Jeffares, R-17, has thrown his hat in the race for lieutenant governor.
