The Atlanta Falcons announced a pair of moves Wednesday, signing quarterback Matt Barkley and outside linebacker Jordan Brailford.
Atlanta claimed Barkley off waivers from the Carolina Panthers. He was originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of USC. The 31-year-old quarterback has completed 212-of-363 attempts (58.4 percent) for 2,699 yards and 11 touchdowns in 19 career games (seven starts) over nine seasons. Barkley has spent time with the Eagles, Cardinals, Bears, 49ers, Bengals, Bills, Titans and Panthers.
