Ola High will be a team to be reckoned with as it takes on Dutchtown High on Friday.

This game will be important for both sides of the field Friday night. The Dutchtown Bulldogs had a bad road trip against Crisp County that didn’t look like how they’re used to. If there was a weakness in the Bulldogs, Crisp County found it, and Ola has been prone to capitalizing on weaknesses in their retribution run this season.

This game marks the second straight road trip for the Bulldogs, who travel to face Ola High.

Crisp County tackled the runner behind the line eight times in the Friday game and compiled three sacks, add in the two interceptions Crisp picked up and Dutchtown was off balance as well.

On the other side, Ola High was pretty flawless behind Hunter Kautz with 111 passing yards and two touchdowns. Karl Kennedy was effective with 111 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The Ola defense was able to intercept Whitewater twice behind Legend Doggett and Kaleb Greatheart’s interceptions. There was also some disruption in the backfield with three sacks (two from Devin Lee).

If there’s ever been a time for the region slate to start, it’ll be in McDonough at Ola High, where the Mustangs will look to avenge the loss from last season.

All of the county will look for the outcome of this game as a barometer for the rest of the region. Ola will also look for a good result as they want to be a contender in the postseason talks.

Dutchtown won last year’s contest 42-10 en route to a playoff spot as the No. 1 seed.
