ELCA remains in the No. 2 spot in Class A

Photo by Derrick Mahone Despite his team’s 21-18 loss to Briarwood Christian last weekend, Eagle’s Landing Christian coach Jonathan Gess still has the No. 2-ranked team in the state in Class A as they host AAA Henry County Friday.

A 21-18 loss to the top-ranked team in Alabama wasnt enough for any pollster to lose confidence in Eagles Landing Christian.

The Chargers retained their No. 2 ranking in the Associated Press poll that was released Tuesday, even getting one first-place vote among the seven pollsters. Defending state champion Clinch County stayed in the No. 1 spot.
