STOCKBRIDGE — The No. 2 Stockbridge Tigers shut out Locust Grove Friday night for a 34-0 victory to remain undefeated in Region 4-AAAAA.

Gabe McKenzie started the game off with a first-quarter touchdown to Willie Thornton for 12 yards before Marquez Ezzard crossed the end zone in the second quarter on a touchdown run. BJ Riley and McKenzie added rushing touchdowns in the third quarter.

McKenzie finished 6-for-11 on the night with 62 yards passing and 92 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Tigers’ defense was dominant once again; they have only allowed 17 points in five games this season.

“We have to get better,” Stockbridge head coach Kevin Whitley said. “We have a lot of stuff to work on but we will take the win. We are getting ready for Woodland.”

Stockbridge improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in region play. The Tigers will play Woodland next week. Locust Grove (2-3, 1-3) will take on the Dutchtown Bulldogs next week.
