HAMPTON — In a surprise move, Dutchtown High athlete William Anderson announced his collegiate decision Monday afternoon via Twitter.
The Dutchtown athlete was a force all through 2018 on the defensive line and drew attention behind Kevon Glenn.
“First I want to thank God for all the many blessings he has brought into my life. I am very blessed to have this talent,” Anderson wrote. “I also want to thank my hard-working parents that have shed blood, sweat and tears to make sure that I was on the right track and kept me focused. I want to thank my sisters and extended family for all the support. The Dutchtown family has been a tremendous factor in this process, thank you guys for making me a great student-athlete.
“Thank you to all of my past and present coaches and trainers. I couldn’t have asked for better friends especially my teammates for helping me and pushing me to become a better athlete, leader, teammate and friend,” he said. “Thank you to all the schools that have recruited me and believed in me. I am honored and grateful. With that being said, I will be committing to the University of Alabama.”
