Two amateurs will play with two professionals in a foursome, with the groupings changing daily. ... Rickie Fowler will make his first start in the event since 2014. He is coming off a T5 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. ... Akshay Bhatia, 17, is in the field on a sponsor's exemption, as is Stanford's 2019 NCAA championship-winning team member Isaiah Salinda. ... Phil Mickelson will serve as the event's host for the first time.
BEST BETS: Sungjae-Im (+1600) is the second betting favorite behind Fowler (+1100) by PointsBet. The South Korean has yet to win on the PGA Tour, but was the lone rookie to make last season's Tour Championship, but did win the Genesis Championship in his home country in October and has seven other top-20 finishes in his past 12 worldwide starts. ... Paul Casey (+2000) posted a T19 at the TOC two weeks ago and has three consecutive T20s. ... Abraham Ancer (+4000) continued to make a name for himself with a strong showing at the Presidents Cup. However, he's coming off a T38 at the Sony Open and a T33 in his previous start.
