HAMPTON - There was a lot going on Friday night under the lights around Henry County.

Rivalries, upsets and more played out on the typical Friday night football game. Unless you count a power outage into the mix.

Under the lights, Hampton High and Luella squared off for their annual rivalry game but there was just nothing that could prepare fans for what unfolded. The lights at the stadium went out.

The cause, has been called for now as a power outage but the game was moved to Luella for both teams to resume play.

"Cause of the power outage is yet to be determined," Hampton High athletic director William Gordon said. "Georgia Power and Board of Education is working diligently to find cause and provide a remedy."
