GRIFFIN — Jonesboro may have prevailed in the end, but it was a tough battle throughout as the Cardinals defeated the Eagle’s Landing Eagles 70-52 in the Region 4-AAAA semifinals Thursday night.
The win improved Jonesboro’s record to 23-4 overall, while the loss gave Eagle’s Landing a 23-4 overall record. With the win, the Cardinals advanced to face Walnut Grove in the Region 4-AAAA championship game Friday night.
