Cross Country action was intense this week.

McDONOUGH — Many local programs made their marks over the weekend at respective events, just like Locust Grove’s showing in the Greyhound Invitational.

BoysLocust Grove placed fourth as a team over the weekend as Daniel Townsend (17:50.50) led the program overall with a ninth-place finish. Seth Duke-wells (17:52.25) crossed the line in 10th place as the second runner for the Wildcats. Trenton Labrum (18:17.25) was 18th ahead of Casey Crush (18:38.94) who placed 31st and Jack Pringle (18:46.94) who placed 34th.

The Woodland Wolfpack were also a part of the event placing 15th overall. Juvon Mays (20:02.75) led the program with a 66th place finish.

GirlsThe Locust Grove Lady Wildcats represented the county well with a seventh-place finish as a team. Kyleigh Rice (22:22.18) let the program with a 12th place result. Jordan Greene (23:46.34) and Juliana Barreto (23:46.84) crossed the line in 26th and 27th respectively. Julie Mink (24:51.09) placed 42nd while Olivia Ditty (28:54.00) rounded out the five placers with a 98th place finish.

The Woodland Lady Wolfpack placed 12th as a team but was led by Re’Shauna Brown’s (22:16.12) 10th place finish.
