The second round of the tournament pitted the Lady Wildcats against First Presbyterian Day. FPD proved to be too much for the Lady Wildcats, as the final buzzer sounded on a 44-34 loss. FPD closed the game on an 11-3 run.

The loss pushed the Lady Wildcats to the loser’s bracket in tournament play, but a 52-40 win over Rutland High School propelled the Lady Wildcats to a third-place finish in the tournament.

“I’m glad that we fought back after a bad game against FPD to get the win against Rutland and taking third,” head coach Greg Shook said. “We are still in the growth process and getting two out of three is a step in the right direction. We still have a way to go but we know that and will keep working.”
