McDONOUGH - Luella High has made the postseason four times in a row but the Lady Lions' efforts at reaching the next round were dashed Tuesday against West Laurens.

West Laurens took the two-game sweep over the program winning 13-1 and 15-4 however there was a bright spot. Jaylen Reliford remained resilient in the circle for the program.

"West Laurens is a great team," Luella head coach Mike Sneed said. "Our pitcher was resilient and pitched great. She pitched both games. Team played but just fell short."

The question of what will it take for Luella to get to the next round in Class AAAA was answered as Sneed says that it will take hard work.
