McDonough High opened their new field with a victory and the first Eric Solomon's era.

McDONOUGH - McDonough High opened up their new football field with a victory Friday night over McIntosh High School to bring in two new eras.

The first was the a victory at home in their new home while the second, was a much sought after win in the Eric Solomon era. McDonough survived late scoring to edge the Chiefs 33-32 for their first win of the regular season.

The win also sealed the county's new coaches first wins.

The Warhawks improved to 1-1 on the young season with the win. They're next opponent visits next Friday as they face Spalding County at home.
