McDonough was presented recently with the Georgia High School Association’s Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award for the 2019-20 school year.

The award recognizes high schools that exhibit exemplary sportsmanship during competitions and whose athletes, coaches, spectators and all others associated with high school activity programs adhere to the fundamental values of respect, fairness, honesty and responsibility.
