HAMPTON — NASCAR released a statement Thursday afternoon that it will run the next two race events without fans in attendance.

With coronavirus leading to the suspension or postponement of other sports in America, NASCAR revealed its intentions to still run races but in front of empty stands, beginning this week at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

NASCAR's statement was tweeted out from their official Twitter channel.
