At its recent meeting, the Henry County Board of Education recognized local high school student-athletes who earned Player of the Year honors this spring. Athletes included Tegan Mullins (Dutchtown, Region 5-AAAAA Girls Soccer Offensive Player of the Year), Walker Watson (Hampton, Class AAAA Baseball Pitcher of the Year), Tyler Ladge (McDonough, Class AAAA Boys Tennis Player of the Year), Bri Hill (Dutchtown, Class AAAAA Girls Soccer Defensive Player of the Year), Jack Pringle (Locust Grove, Class AAAAA Boys Soccer Offensive Player of the Year), Jalen Harris (Dutchtown, Class AAAAA Boys Soccer Defensive Player of the Year), Connor Crisp (Locust Grove, Class AAAAA Baseball Player of the Year), and Franziska Heigl (Ola, Class AAAAA Girls Tennis Player of the Year).
