Stockbridge High enters this week looking for a region victory against Locust Grove.

This season’s version of Locust Grove and Stockbridge will be one of the biggest games that the Wildcats will play. After postponing their game against Camden due to the hurricane, the Wildcats enter this week against Stockbridge with a rare bye-week.

The bye-week broke up the monotony of the regular season where the Wildcats lost to Jackson and Warner Robins on the road. The final road game for at least a few weeks pits them against Stockbridge High.

The Tigers however, have played every game this season but with a healthy Locust Grove team this week that’s taken their lumps, the attention turns to this matchup.

Locust Grove was a strong team last season but couldn’t get over Stockbridge early. With the Tigers remaining one of the class acts in region 4-AAAAA the same can be expected this week.

Loaded with talent like Jevon McDonald under center the only glaring hole for the Tigers last week was their run defense. One athlete carried the ball for 207 yards and two touchdowns against the Tigers.

Of course, Stockbridge’s pass coverage was pretty solid as they only gave up 32 yards in the air.
