STOCKBRIDGE — In the matter of 24 hours, two Stockbridge High football athletes announced their collegiate intentions through social media.

Leading the announcements was Steven Esan who committed to Shorter University. Esan posted his intention through his personal social media account Sunday.

“I would like to thank God for allowing this to happen and blessing me with this opportunity. A huge thanks to my coaches for the guidance they gave me and all my teammates who pushed me to be better every day. Most importantly a special thank you to my mom for always supporting me throughout this journey and believing in me. These past four years of football will be something I’ll always remember and I will forever be grateful for my teammates along with the bonds I have formed. With that being said I am blessed to announce that I will be furthering my academic and football career at Shorter University.”

Isaiah Taylor also announced his collegiate intentions as he is heading to the University of West Georgia.
