Cross Country action was intense this week.

LOCUST GROVE — The cross-country season has finished up another week while the Strong Rock Patriots hosted many teams for the Strong Rock Patriot Invitational.

Boys

Strong Rock Christian School took home the victory behind the second-place finish from Justin George (17:14.79). The Patriots’ top five runners all placed in the top 10 as well with Noah Kilgore (17:54.80) taking home fourth, Noah Banks (18:35.36) in sixth. Trevor Borom (19:12.23) slated in eighth while Micah Kilgore (19:12.42) crossed in ninth.

The Ola Mustangs placed second overall as a team with Samuel Brown (17:09.11) taking first place in the event. Two other runners placed in the top 10 for the Mustangs as Kobe Powell (17:34.01) took home third with Elijah Sires (18:38.55) placing seventh. Christian Estrada (19:32.93) placed 12th in the event ahead of Benjamin Hinshaw’s (19:38.88) 13th.

Creekside Christian School was also a part of the event and took home fourth place in the event. Judah Prisk (19:28.89) placed 11th in the event to lead the program. Jarrett Muncus (19:44.14) crossed the line 15th, Chandler Sawyer (21:36.44) placed 28th as Kendrick Price (22:35.62) grabbed 34th. Eric Tudorancea (25:28.42) placed 52nd.

The Hampton Hornets placed fifth overall as a team behind Chris Wyatt’s (20:20.78) 21st place finish. Caleb Campbell (21:24.92) placed in the top 25 with a 25th place finish.

Stockbridge High nabbed sixth as a program with two athletes placing in the top-25. Cameron Simmons (20:53.98) placed 23rd to lead the Tigers while Justin McDowell (21:19.12) took home 25th overall.

The ELCA Chargers placed seventh as a team behind Alex Villanueva (19:58.13) placing 18th overall.

GirlsStrong Rock placed second as a team behind the top five finish of Lian Woo (24:31.90). Woo placed fifth overall to lead the program as Alissa Huamani (25:57.55) placed 12th. The Lady Patriots also showed well with Rachel Chaffin (27:06.19) taking home 17th as Abby Schanie (27:11.99) grabbed 19th. Lauren Brooks (27:30.83) rounded out the top five Lady Patriots athletes nabbed 20th.

The Ola Lady Mustangs placed third as a program behind the fourth-place finish of Shaniya Joyner (23:57.75). Ola’s program also benefited from the placements of Nadia Sires (25:29.65) who took home 10th. Tennese Porter (26:04.31)’s 13th place finish whole Gabrielle Brown (28:08.05) took home 22nd. Anastasia Newcombe (34:20.51) also placed 26th.
