McDONOUGH — The Henry County Cross Country championships have come and gone this past weekend but Union Grove High topped the boys and girls standings respectively.
Union Grove‘s top four runners took the top four spots to help the team to the win with their fifth points placer finishing in seventh-place. The Lady Wolverines were led by Gabby Parsons (19:47.71), Bianca Parsons (20:21.16), Hailey Reed (21:27.69) and Lilly Dunn (21:32.24) placed first through fourth respectively.
Nyla Armand placed seventh for the Lady Wolverines (21:43.56).

The Locust Grove Lady Wolverines placed second as a team. Kyleigh Rice (21:37.76) led the program with a sixth place finish. Juliana Barreto (23:27.51), Jordan Greene (23:28.91) and Julie Mink (23:36.02) placed 13th through 15th respectively for their team while Kennedy Allie (24:06.81) rounded out the five placers with a 22nd place finish.
The Ola Lady Mustangs placed third overall and were led by 12th-place finisher Shaniya Joyner (23:19.05). Nadia Sires placed 20th for the Lady Mustangs (23:59.59) as Tennese Porter (24:13.00) placed 23rd and Ashley Edwards (24:25.24) who took 24th.
Gabrielle Brown (27:04.82) placed 37th overall to round out the top five team placers.
The Woodland High Lady Wolfpack placed fourth as a team with Re’Shauna Brown (21:56.76) placing 10th for the Lady Wolfpack. The Strong Rock Lady Patriots placed fifth overall as a team while Dutchtown and Luella each took sixth and seventh respectively.
The Union Grove Wolverines placed first overall as a team behind the first place finish of Domonic Macias (16:28.08). David Quintinillia (17:28.31) took home a sixth-place finish for the Wolverines.
Isiah Wright (17:47.60) and Tai’Re Barashango (17:53.99) placed 11th and 12th respectively. The final top-five placing athlete Khayri Davis (18:10.93) placed 18th.
Locust Grove Wildcats placed second as a team with Daniel Townsend (17:14.61) placing fifth to lead the team. Seth Duke-wells (17:37.84) placed eighth as the second runner for the Wildcats ahead of teammate Santiago Vasquez (17:41.64) who came home ninth.
Jack Pringle (17:57.94) and Trenton Labrum (17:58.57) placed 13th and 14th respectively.
The Strong Rock Patriots were able to place third as a team behind the third place finish of Hank Guinade (16:56.89) and Justin George’s (17:11.95) fourth-place finish.
Noah Kilgore (17:29.77) placed seventh for the Patriots as Noah Banks (18:33.13) was 21st for the team. The fifth top runner Micah Kilgore (18:54.74) took home 27th overall.
The Ola Mustangs place fourth as a team behind Kobe Powell (16:37.86) who placed second and Samuel Brown’s (17:47.57) 10th place finish.
Woodland placed fifth as a team behind the top placer Preston Walton (18:02.65) who nabbed 16th.
The Hampton Hornets pulled in a sixth place finish as a team ahead of Eagle’s Landing High and Eagle’s Landing Christian who placed seventh and eighth. The Stockbridge Tigers placed ninth overall ahead of Luella High (10th) and Creekside Christian Academy (11th).
