Union Grove comes into this season looking for more following a season where the program just missed the state playoffs.

Outlook: Union Grove’s steady improvement continued in 2018 as the Wolverines just barely missed the state playoffs during head coach Chad Frazier’s second season at the helm but there is a lot of momentum behind the Wolverines this season.

The Wolverines won’t have their top rushing option Gavin Johnson this season but there should be a good returner in Jaylen Blackwell to fill the hole on the ground. Not only is Blackwell back to carry the rock, top signal caller Michael Reese is also back to lead the offense.

The defensive unit is going to be without Brenden Dailey but the once young defense will have numerous returners. Like Hunter Martin and Mitchell Smith.

A big hole to fill will be that of Cullen Lejeune who was a reliable leg for field goals and punts.
