Woodland grad Shakur Brown signed a rookie free agent deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers after not being selected in the NFL Draft.

Brown had a breakout 2020 season as a redshirt junior at Michigan State, earning All-American honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation (second team) and Pro Football Focus (third team) and first-team All-Big Ten honors. He intercepted five passes in seven games, leading FBS in interceptions per game and tying for third nationally in total interceptions.
