Woodland High’s Jordan Caple announced her commitment to Murray State University.

STOCKBRIDGE — The season has just begun but a local athlete has already made her collegiate level decision this week.

Woodland High’s Jordan Caple, an outfielder and infielder for the Lady Wolfpack has announced her decision to attend Murray State University. According to coach Ken Deyton, Caple is a committed player that loves to succeed.

“In my short time with her, the one thing that has stood out to me is she is a terrific teammate,” Deyton said. “She treats everyone equally and makes everyone feel valuable, regardless of their year. She’s a fantastic representative of Woodland High School and the softball program, and I have no doubt she will do great in college.”

Caple says that Murray gave her a homey feeling in the college she was looking for.

“I want to thank my parents for driving me all over Gods green earth and spending all their money on me and softball,” Caple said. “And all of my coaches that worked with me and all my teammates that helped push me to get better.”
