A recent dive to access the condition of the RMS Titanic shipwreck brought both good and bad news for the Peachtree Corners-based company that holds the exclusive salvage rights for the famous wreck site.

The good news is that RMS Titanic Inc.’s survey team found the ship’s bronze “Diana of Versailles” statue, which had not been seen at the wreck site since 1986. But, the bad news — and it is certainly bad for fans of the Titanic as well as historians — is that the survey team found signs key pieces of the ship have deteriorated significantly.
