COVINGTON — Archer Aviation, manufacturer of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL), announced Wednesday that its facility in Covington is expected to be completed this year.

Archer’s facility, adjacent to Covington Municipal Airport, will support the company’s planned production of up to 650 Midnight aircraft per year, which would make it one of the largest manufacturing facilities by volume in the aviation industry. Archer’s build-out is taking place in close partnership with Stellantis, with the companies working to move plans forward to mass-produce Archer’s Midnight aircraft together.
