Congressman Mike Collins (R-Ga.) honored Henry County Police Officer Paramhans Desai at a prayer vigil and flag laying ceremony hosted by Speaker Mike Johnson as part of National Police Week May 12-18.

Desai was shot in the line of duty on Nov. 4, 2021, in McDonough, while responding to a domestic violence call. He later succumbed to his gunshot wounds at a local hospital. In a final act of service, Desai donated his organs, ultimately saving the lives of 11 individuals.
