JOHN PEARRELL: The only true God is the one revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures

John Pearrell

Probably the most meaningless statement one can make today is to say, “I believe in God.” Let me explain.

“I believe in God” is meaningless because today the term “God” seems to be more of a canvas upon which we paint our particular version of our god. I think the common perception of God is what I would call the Burger King god — the god who does it your way; the one who satisfies your craving to “have it your way.”
