Normally we make jokes about New Year’s resolutions because we know that most of them get broken. However, today I don’t want to talk about resolutions. Rather, I want to write about “priority.” Priority is our key to a meaningful new year. Priority is our blue print to becoming stronger, more mature and more purposeful. Priority is our prescription to ending the year 2O23 in a way that is more pleasing to God and more satisfying to us.

And I think Paul is addressing this same theme in his letter to the church at Philippi. He’s telling these Philippians how they could live at their best — how they should live at their best — how God intends that they live. Actually Paul is giving these Philippians a prescription for getting the most out of their lives.
