Almost Potbelly Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wow, these are delicious oatmeal cookies. A cross between an oatmeal cookie and a chocolate chip cookie, you get the best of both worlds in every bite. They're a copycat found at Potbelly sandwich shops (hence, the almost Potbelly name). Chewy and tender, have a cold glass of milk handy for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 c margarine
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 2 lg eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 c oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 c chocolate chips
