ATLANTA — A Henry County middle school student is among 20 championship finalists who will compete later this month in the Georgia Association of Educators’ State Spelling Bee.

Normally this time of year, it’s announced that students will soon be spelling words like “devitrification,” “jotnian,” and “reascendancy.” This year students, including Ananya Augustine, a seventh-grader from Eagle’s Landing Middle School, will be competing through computer clicks. Augustine was last year’s state runner-up.
