The body of a missing 48-year-old Brookhaven woman has been located in Dacula, Gwinnett County police said.

On Sunday around 4 p.m., the Brookhaven Police Department contacted the Gwinnett County Police Deparment about a missing person from their jurisdiction, Gwinnett police said. Following some investigative leads, the body of Aimee Lafakis was located near Turkey Crossing and Harbins Circle in Dacula.
