A man has died after a tree fell on his car in southeast Cherokee County, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office reports.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched at 7:48 pm to 5767 Vaughn Road near Canton, where it was reported a tree fell on a moving vehicle during Tuesday night’s storms in the area. A 27-year-old male was found deceased in the vehicle.
