Mildred Fowler Powell, 83, of McDonough, Ga. passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008. Mrs. Powell was born in Worth County, the daughter of the late Alton G and Argie Branch Fowler. She was a member of Flippen United Methodist Church. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Powell; brothers, Ellis Fowler, Carson Fowler and Joseph Fowler. Survivors are her children, Kathryn and Toby Turner of Valrico, Fla., Alvin and Yvonne Powell of Stockbridge, and Ernest "Ernie" and Susan Powell of McDonough; five grandchildren, James Turner, Karen Turner, Jason Powell, Crystal Bing, and Bryant Bond and three great-grandchildren, Kameryn Powell, Jamie Turner and Alexandra Williams; sisters, Montez Giles of Jackson, Ga., Linda Gail Davis of McDonough; brother, Garvin Fowler of Sylvester, Ga. and numerous nieces and nephews.
