Annual McDonough parade honors Dr. King

Special Photo: Students in the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at Stockbridge High School led a parade honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Monday, in McDonough. This week marks what would have been the slain civil rights leader’s 83rd birthday.

The City of McDonough did its part to keep alive the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a pair of events honoring his life.

An annual parade was held on the McDonough Square, Monday, in recognition of what would have been Kings 83rd birthday.
