The Henry County Board of Commissioners recently presented a proclamation to several officials and staff from Eagles Landing High School, in recognition of the life-saving efforts they employed in saving a students life in March after he fell unconscious in the school cafeteria.
Eric Wortham, Jr., a key member of the varsity boys basketball team, was having lunch in the Eagles Landing High School cafeteria on March 2, when he passed out. Principal Gabe Crerie, basketball coach Clay Crump, assistant principal Richard Jacoby, assistant principal Al Kizzie, staff member Juanita Larry, and football coach Joe Teknipp were all involved in bringing the student back to consciousness.
